i wonder what it will be ... if the shoes of Muntazer al-Zaidi, a reporter for the Cairo-based Al-Baghdad television were landed in Bush's forehead. I can't imagine Bush's face will be black and blue .... but why shoes?
The sole of shoes are considered the ultimate insult in Arab culture, according to AFP. Islamonline wrote, after Saddam Hussein's statue was toppled in Baghdad in April 2003, many spectators beat the statue's face with their soles.
Good point Lena...
ReplyDeleteAnd there were no difference if the shoes would touch his face. Actually, it touched the dirty faces of Bush and his Satanic gangs
unfortunately, still, Bush said the war in Irak is not over yet ...
ReplyDeleteBushnya dah mau turun mbak...
ReplyDeleteNasib Jurnalis kayaknya jadi kenangan, bahwa jurnalis yang harusnya netral aja bisa marah sama si Bush, apalagi yang lain...
Kalau kena jidatnya puyeng juga tuh Bush..
Sayang ngga kena soalnya sambil emosi sih he3..
bukan puyeng lagi, mungkin jadi "benjol" yang gak bakal ilang seumur hidup ...:)
ReplyDeleteiya sayang gak kena, coba kena, kan bisa jadi kenang2an buat bush pasca lengser dari presiden US...:P
ReplyDeleteAllahu Akbar.... Mantabh... La'anakumulloh bush wa a'adho'ihi....!!!
ReplyDeleteyupp..
ReplyDeletesalut banget ama wartawannya. hebat, brani.
He he he, I saw it this morning in Nuansa Pagi on RCTI :D
ReplyDeleteThat was the highest gratitude for the 'liberator!!' of Iraq. He still lies and beleives himself. That 'gesture' was a reminder for his fallacy. When he said that incident was not what the people of Iraq think of him, demonstrations followed with another shoe over a sign: US go out of Iraq.
ReplyDeleteYes in the Arab culture the sole of shoes and even the bottom of you feet is offensive. Like if I am sitting beside someone and sit with the bottom of my feet at them then it is considered rude. Or if you are mad at someone and you take your shoe off to hit them, you are really mad and want to degrade them. Like a mother taking her shoe off to hit her child.
ReplyDeleteI was joking with my husbands aunts husband and took my shoe off and pretended to hit him. His face changed and I knew I had done something wrong. My husband spoke to him and told him I didn't know and all was well, but at first he thought I was being offensive to him.
Personally I think it would of been funny if Bush would of been smacked with the shoe. Allah forgive me for that, but I don't like the man. But then again I am happy it didn't hit him as it could of been so much worse on the guy who did it if he did.
may this shoes incident will open the way for a new era in Iraq that people will do something more to push US withdraw its troops from Iraq ... or maybe it's a beginning to drag Bush to the international criminal court .... hopefully ...
ReplyDeleteif Bush knows about the culture, he should be very ashamed ... but i think a leader like Bush is shameless ...:)
ReplyDeleteBush has alot to be ashamed of but he doesn't see he has done anything wrong. He will come to know though if not in this life then in the next. No one can hide from Allah.
ReplyDeletesure it is, sis. Bush could get away from the shoes, but he could not get away from Allah for his sins.
