Interview with Hamas

Hamas or Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya or "Islamic Resistance Movement" is a Palestinian Sunni Islamist organization and political party which is in January 2006  won a surprise victory in the Palestinian parliamentary elections. Hamas took  76 of the 132 seats in the chamber, beating its rival ruling Fatah party that took only 43 seats.

But many western countries denied Hamas'  victory coz they think Hamas is a terrorist group just because Hamas do not want to recognize the existence of Israel who occupied Palestinian's land.

Canada, Israel, Japan, and the United States list Hamas as a terrorist organization. Hamas is also banned in Jordan. While Australia and the United Kingdom list only the military wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, as a terrorist organization. The European Union lists Hamas as a group 'involved in terrorist attacks' and has implemented restrictive measures against Hamas.

But if you want to know more about Hamas, about what they actually fight for, why they call for the destruction of Israel you can join in inteview with Hamas held by Islamonline.net,  and the deputy chief of Hamas' political bureau  Abu Marzook will answer all your question. Question should be sent before July 31. For more information you just click this link: "Islamonline: Ask Hamas"
